Objective
To meet the needs of persons with disabilities in terms of inclusive, integrated and accessible transport infrastructure in Ethiopia’s Mekelle City.
Potential Impact
The research explores existing services and how people with disabilities are being served by them, in order to:
- identify and rate the safety and mobility challenges of people with disabilities
- identify the transport-related socio-eonomic problems of people with disabilities
Approach
The research will include focus groups, data collection including digital questionnaires, interviews and field surveys, and validation workshops.
Outcome
The research will lead to the development of inclusive policies to improve the availability of transport that is safe and easy to use by everyone.
